Each strap has a red elastic loop to securely store extras, so you won't have any straps sticking out, making it safer on chairlifts. Two zippers in the main compartment for storing the retractable leash, plus a separate small pocket for storing other essentials for a day on the mountain.

LEATHER LASH
The retractable leash extends to 16 feet with elastic loops, allowing you to control the distance between you and your child by simply pressing the stop/release button with your thumb.
There is no locking button on the leash, only a stop button.
Let your child go on their own. Press the stop button to slow them down, avoid an obstacle, or make them... Turn.

When you press the stop button, the bungee cord extends slowly, preventing any jolting effect on the student.

Usage Tips
Beginners: Y-Connection
You will need to use two bungee cords with a Y-connection. These two bungee cords should be attached to the hip belt on the backpack. Pulling to the right will help your student initiate a left turn, and vice versa.

Intermediate: D-Connection
Simply attach the two bungee cords to the D-ring on one side of the pack at the hip belt, and you will be able to control your student's speed when they are skiing straight down the slopes.

Advanced: O-Ring Connection
Simply attach the two bungee cords to the stainless steel ring: you will then be able to to control the speed and also control the turns as the ring moves from one side to the other.
